David is Head of FX at AHL/MSS, a division of Man Group plc, with responsibility for systematically managing the multi-billion dollar FX portfolios they run there that form part of a number of quant funds (AHL Diversified, Evolution, Dimension). He is also responsible for directing the research of the FX team based in London.
David has recently reopened the AHL Currency Fund and moved this away from including only the traditional FX styles of momentum and carry, adding to it new short-term, alternative and fundamental strategies.
His biggest challenge is to direct a research team that has the opportunity to explore the available data yet remain focussed on utilising the research undertaken to add profitability through successful implementation of their ideas, i.e. a constant battle between research innovation and implementation.
